Rebeca Malavassi joined the children's choir of the School of Musical Arts of UCR in 1990, where she also took piano and violin classes. Since 1992 she has been part of the Angelus group and in 1996 represented Costa Rica in the Peace Games of UNESCO in Togo, Africa, where they placed third.
She has worked since childhood in recording jingles and productions for national and international artists. Rebeca specializes in genres such as bossa nova, pop and jazz, enabling her to offer the public a varied repertoire of songs.
Currently, Rebecca has a BA in Mass Communication and works as a journalist at the University of Costa Rica. She also works as a singer for Cristoforis (a company organizing weddings, events and receptions) and is frequently invited to sing with the Big Band of Costa Rica, and has sung alongside artists like Charlene Stewart, Surrogate Band, Sasha Campbell, Tamela Hedström, Freddy Alves, SD Band and others.
